The move to ICD-10 is just one of the many examples of that transformation and it comes on the heels of the tidal wave of electronic health record implementation.   Recording Feb 18, 2010 "Cardiac Catherization Coding" Webinar
The presenter will review the guidelines for both diagnostic and interventional procedures done concurrently and as stand-alone procedures. Challenges of coding peripheral vascular procedures done concurrently with cardiac catheterizations will also be covered.   Recording Jan 21, 2010 "Oncology Coding & Cancer Reporting" Webinar
The co-presenters will review the specific regulations for assigning neoplasm ICD-9 as well ICD-O-3 codes. Goethel will focus on the Official Coding Guidelines for better understanding or primary versus secondary ICD-9 code assignments. Eberle will discuss the entities to which cancer information is reported, for example, the CDC and the National Cancer Data Base and Case finding which is critical to complete cancer reporting.
