Strengthen Your Resilience: Ready, Set, Grow

Amy Dee, RN, NSA Speaker

How are YOU?

Amid the news of healthcare staff struggling to find enough PPE and patients fighting for their lives in ICUs, another story is often overlooked. HIM departments have faced challenges unlike any before. Challenges related to the workload balance due to ever-changing volumes, employee furloughs, reduced hours, and the HIM department’s closing to visitors who needed medical records. Not only are you keeping abreast of daily changes to regulations and adapting to the decrease in elective procedures, in the midst of this, you also have personal COVID-19-related stress!

Let’s Focus on YOU!

Get ready to laugh while learning! Motivational Speaker & RN Amy Dee combines behavioral science with funny, relatable stories that reveal practical “retrain your brain” techniques to manage stress and keep negative thoughts from spiraling into crazy-toxic emotions. You’ll grin while gaining valuable strategies to manage anger, anxiety, and feelings of stress. You’ll feel inspired, reminded that we could all make a big difference, one small act of kindness at a time. Amy combines humor, inspiration, and storytelling to reveal our superpower ability to make minor mental shifts that wind up changing everything!

Mental Flexibility: Reframe to Shift Your Perspective and Strengthen Your Resilience

Amy Dee, RN, NSA Speaker

Think of mental flexibility as being akin to changing channels on your TV, but instead, the channels are your thoughts, and the TV is your brain. If you get stuck on one track, your stream of thoughts or beliefs cannot be updated or altered. Flexible thinking is a necessary skill for dealing with life’s challenges.

Your personal power is either hindered or helped by how you interpret a situation or event. Resilience is about awareness perspective and choice. It is the bridge between challenges and dreams. 2020 tested us like never before but challenges remain. Reframing is a mental technique that allows you to reinterpret a situation or event to feel better and move forward. Reframing is essential to resilience because it contributes to healthy adaptation and growth.  Amy’s session will give you tools for mental flexibility. You will laugh while learning how to change your cognitive channels and shift your behavior to achieve the best outcomes. We will have lots of fun while you become a sharper observer, a savvy thinker, and a more effective problem solver. Laugh while learning techniques to harness your own resilience and build a brighter better future.
