One of the many ways WHIMA promotes innovation, education, and advancement of health information management professionals is through subject matter experts that present at the WHIMA Fall Conference.
This year’s Fall Conference is all about navigating the current of HIM transformation. Key note speaker Sarah Stokes, founder of The Juicy Good Life, opens the conference and will share ways in which we can build a better life and a better career. The conference also offers a number of hot topic sessions including: informatics, cybersecurity, SNF reimbursement, coding and CDI. Learn about the regulatory, billing and privacy framework around telehealth services, the key areas of focus during an on-sight Joint Commission survey and efficient ways to track incomplete documentation. Have you ever wondered about non-traditional roles in HIM? Attend track 2’s afternoon session to find out! Learn how one facility ensures that HIM
retains an active role within the electronic medical record world by broadly defining HIM. This year’s Fall Conference offers a Student track that will discuss the benefits of being an AHIMA/WHIMA member and familiarize students with the many resources available to members.
