Amy Dee, RN, NSA Speaker
Amy Dee is recognized by audiences across the country as a master storyteller and brilliant comedian. She combines her background in standup comedy and theatre with her RN degree and experience as a successful business owner to deliver hilarious stories and valuable content on the brain and behavior. Her message and music rise above the boundaries of gender, age, and occupation. Amy’s hilarious stories coupled with her phenomenal content propels audiences to live, act, and work better. Her authentic spirit and down to earth approach have made her one of the most sought-after speakers throughout the United States. She is truly one of the best speakers in the country at combining message and humor.
Amy’s background is as diverse as her audiences. She once ran a non-profit where she managed five hundred volunteers and organized multiple fundraisers that culminated in an eight-hour telethon.
Amy lived in Norway from 1994-2003, and while learning to speak, read and write in Norwegian, she started a photo calendar business in her home. Her company grew to become Xerox’s largest customer in Scandinavia.
Amy returned to college at age forty-three to obtain her RN degree. She was nominated for Nurse of the Year several times during her nine years as a Psychiatric RN. Amy has been a monthly guest expert on NBC affiliate ND Today. She has written four books and numerous song parodies.
Sheila Goethel, RHIT, CDIP, CCS
Sheila Goethel provides facility coding and claims related services for Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative members. She has worked as a Coder, Auditor and Educator and has been an active speaker for WHIMA, HFMA, and Wisconsin Office of Rural Health.
Sheila currently serves on the WHIMA VIP team, WHIMA Nominating Committee, the MATC Medical Coding Specialist Advisory Committee, has been a past WHIMA Board member as well as served on various WHIMA teams.
Julie Hable, MBA, RHIA
Julie Hable is an RHIA with a bachelor’s degree in HIM from the College of St. Scholastica and an MBA from Regis University.
Julie has worked in the HIMS industry for the past 20+ years, with her current position as an Operations Manager in the Health Information Management Services department at Mayo Clinic. Julie oversees the Record Content Management team across Mayo Clinic enterprise structure.
Julie is an active WHIMA member, volunteering and speaking at past conferences.
Wil Limp, MS, RHIA
Professional experience: Ten years of HIM leadership experience serving in various roles including HIM Director, and Director of Information Services. Current role is Manager of HIM at UW Health. Ten years of Higher Education experience serving in various roles including Program Director, and Associate Department Chair. Current role as Program Director at UW’s Stevens Point campus.
Volunteer experience with HIMSS, WHIMA, AHIMA and MHIMA (Michigan) in various roles including: Committee Chair for Student and Early Careerist Task Force, HIE Committee Chair, HIM Awareness Coordinator, Director and most recently President Elect. Received Distinguished Member award from WHIMA in 2018.
Jamie Purdeu is a Health Information Management Services Manager in the Record Content Management section of HIMS Operations at Mayo Clinic. Jamie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. Jamie has been a HIMS professional for 22 years, with the last 20 years spent in leadership. Jamie enjoys mentoring aspiring leaders as well as supporting her HIMS peers, colleagues, and staff.
Julie Larsen, RHIA, CCS, CDIP
Julie recently earned her BS in health information management and technology with a healthcare management emphasis from UW-Green Bay. She understands what it is like being a student. In addition, Julie brings over a decade of experience in inpatient coding, education, and quality analysis. She has spent countless hours mentoring, training coders and other healthcare professionals on AHIMA exam prep, inpatient coding, CDI DRG mismatch, quality analysis, and alignment processes. She has also generated educational materials and built programs for classroom teaching and one-on-one training using technology. Julie is enthusiastic about thinking outside the box and looking for an innovative way to bring content and understanding to new and experienced HIM professionals.
Christopher Spranger, MBA, ASQ MBB
Christopher Spranger is the owner of Spranger Business Solutions; his company helps businesses use Lean Six Sigma to save valuable time and money. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (#72) with almost 20 years of experience improving manufacturing, health care, service, construction, government, and transactional businesses. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and an MBA in Finance and Management from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Chris has helped numerous organizations across the world implement Lean Six Sigma based improvement programs, trained and coached hundreds of people on Lean Six Sigma improvement methods, and has developed and taught course curriculum on Lean Six Sigma at the collegiate and technical college level. Geoff New is a skilled leader with more than 28 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry and excels at delivering quality services that improve fiscal performance for hospitals and health systems. As Vice President of Provider Solutions, he is responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing revenue cycle solutions with a team of professionals, registered nurses, and physicians.
