The Wisconsin Health Information Management Association (WHIMA) proudly presented the Rising Star Award to Charity Sari, RHIT, CCS, during the WHIMA Annual Conference Awards Reception on May 20, 2025, in Wisconsin Dells. 🎉

Charity’s journey in the field of health information management is a testament to her dedication, academic excellence, and ongoing professional growth. She completed her technical diploma at Mid-State Technical College in December 2022, passed the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) exam shortly thereafter, and recently graduated with her Associate degree in May 2025. That same month, she successfully earned her Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential.

While pursuing her education, Charity made a strong impression as both a peer tutor and a coding intern at Libman Education, Inc., where she worked alongside Lynn Kuehn and other respected professionals. Her exceptional attention to detail and communication skills played a key role in reviewing and enhancing Libman’s inpatient course library for FY2025.

Beyond academics and internships, Charity has been an enthusiastic and dependable WHIMA volunteer from the start of her educational journey. In her role as a WHIMA Student Ambassador, she actively contributed to committees, team efforts, and event coordination, bringing initiative, professionalism, and a passion for advancing WHIMA’s mission.

Now transitioning into her professional career, Charity has accepted her first coding position within a hospital system—an exciting beginning to what promises to be a bright future. Her commitment to excellence and service truly embodies the spirit of the WHIMA Rising Star Award.

Please join us in congratulating Charity Sari on this well-earned honor!
