Trina Blaschko, MS, RHIT, has been honored with the 2025 WHIMA Motivator Award in recognition of her exceptional dedication to empowering others through education, mentorship, and service to the HIM profession. This prestigious award was presented during the WHIMA Annual Conference Awards Reception on May 20, 2025.

For more than 20 years, Trina has been a leader in the Health Information Management and Technology Program at Chippewa Valley Technical College.

She is known for her innovative thinking, passion for student success, and commitment to the HIM profession. Trina’s guiding goals for her students—complete the program, pass the RHIT exam, and secure meaningful employment—are a testament to her focus on real outcomes.

She actively advises the HIMT Student Club, helps lead community service projects like “Give a Vet a Smile,” promotes learning through Open Educational Resources, and is instrumental in developing student practicum opportunities nationwide. Beyond the classroom, Trina has served in leadership roles with WWHIMA and contributes to WHIMA’s Engagement Committee, always encouraging students to get involved and give back.

Trina’s enthusiasm is infectious, her support unwavering, and her impact undeniable. She is a true motivator who lifts up everyone around her.
