It was time well spent at AHIMA’s Advocacy Summit as WHIMA’s Advocacy leaders met to discuss with
House and Senate members, asking for support on three keys topics. The WHIMA Policy and Legislative Action Team Co-Leads (Chrisann Lemery and Kerry Wolford), along with the President (Kari Bjorge) and President-Elect (Terianne Brunner) and an AHIMA representative met with staffers for Senators Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson, as well as Representative Mark Pocan to ask for support for the following:
Public Health Infrastructure Saves Lives Act (S. 674)
Improving Social Determinants of Health Ace (S. 104/HR 379)
Protecting Access to Post-COVID-19 Telehealth Act of 2021 (HR 366)
