Recently WHIMA was offered the opportunity to speak on a panel at HOSA’s Fall Leadership Conference at Epic. This panel was made up of various Healthcare professionals who had Dental, Family Medicine, Education, and Radiology backgrounds. WHIMA’s 3rd year Director, Charley Wessberg, volunteered to speak about his healthcare career emphasizing his years as a Medical Coder and being a part of HIM leadership. He advertised in many of his answers the way WHIMA positively impacted his career and verbally provided WHIMA’s website for students to check out after. The audience was made up of 400 students from all over Wisconsin and was a great venue to help get WHIMA’s name in front of the younger healthcare generation.
